Answer

We can report good parent satisfaction with the outcomes. Some outcomes are better than others. Sometimes we find that the pre-and post-test test scores of our clients have not shown the gains reported by SLc. We believe that some of this has to do with our selection of clients. It also is influenced by their ability to stick closely to the treatment plan we recommend. In general, we prefer to provide Fast ForWord at our own site, because we can monitor the student much more closely. Also, we observe that we are able to add something of value when we directly monitor a student, especially in terms of helping them to learn how to handle the "errors" that they will always make. Under good circumstances, though, we find that a home-based program can be just as effective.

We have included some stories about the students we have seen. The first story is about our first client. Next is a general description of results from our clients after the first one. Finally, we discuss one of our most recent graduates.
