Are there certain types of children with whom the provider has more experience?
A n s w e r
Most were referred because of reading problems. Typically, the students we have seen have also had a history of speech and language difficulties. Two had a formal diagnosis of central auditory processing disorder. Many have a history of early ear infections that may have affected their ability to learn to hear speech sounds.
