Related Links   Ask the Experts In the News What Others Say		Features We feature the Fast ForWord™ family of programs, published by Scientific Learning Corporation, the revolutionary treatment that rapidly develops the oral language skills that are necessary for reading. We are the first organization in Montana and all of its surrounding states to offer Fast ForWord. The Learning Clinic is prepared to serve any individual for whom Fast ForWord is appropriate. We normally offer Fast ForWord at our clinic, but we have worked participants working in home and school locations around Montana and Wyoming. Fast ForWord Language is designed to appeal to children ages 4 to 12 years of age, but we have had a number of adolescent participants choose to use this Fast ForWord rather than the version designed more for adults. The exercises are engaging, and the artwork is really charming. For many students, Fast ForWord Language is all that they need. Fast ForWord Middle and High School is a version of Fast ForWord that is designed to appeal more to adolescents and adults. For the most part, it wraps the same games in Fast ForWord in a more mature-looking graphical background. Rather than funny animals or circus characters, Fast ForWord Middle and High School uses sports images or stories that might appeal to teens and a more mature audience. Fast ForWord Language to Reading is a follow-up or stand-alone program that that helps students further develop the language and reading skills critical for reading or becoming a better reader. It provides a number of exercises that are similar to the Fast ForWord Language exercises, but at a more challenging level. It also links language sounds to printed letters and words. If a student's only problem is in the area of reading, it is possible that Fast ForWord Language to Reading will be a good choice. top   Who Benefits?
