Rosanna Buehl holds a Master's degree (M.A.) and an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) from the University of Montana. Rosanna got her start professionally at the Yellowstone Boys Ranch in 1976, first as a teaching parent, later as a clinical supervisor. In 1980, she became the Director of the Billings Youth Home, a shelter care facility for displaced adolescents, where she developed the program and supervised the treatment staff.

Working from 1990 to 1998 in a special education cooperative, she provided school psychological services to children ranging in age from preschool through high school. In this capacity, she served over 20 Montana school districts, including Broadview, Independent, Molt, Pryor, all of schools in Yellowstone County west of Billings, and all schools in Carbon County. She continues as a consultant to those schools. Recently, Rosanna joined Montana State University--Billings as adjunct faculty, teaching "Assessment of Children with Disabilities" to developing special education teachers.

From her experience working with such a variety of children and young adults, Rosanna has developed considerable skill in motivating youth and refining motivation systems to keep their interest up. They respond to her humor, her warmth, and her respect for their abilities.

She has been active with the Montana Association of School Psychologists, for years organizing many of their publications. She won two statewide awards for newsletters, one from the Montana PTA, and one from the Montana Education Association. She is a former board member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Montana and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Public Radio (KEMC). Rosanna is a longtime member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). She has presented at many workshops around Montana. Rosanna was listed in Who's Who in the West for 1984.

Rosanna has a strong background in computers. She was factory-trained by Apple as a computer repair technician, oversaw the conversion of the bank records to an IBM System 36 at the Bank of Baker (Montana), worked at the University of Montana as a mainframe consultant, and she frequently consults with schools and individuals on issues related to computers and software. If parents who are implementing Fast ForWord at a home site run into computer problems, Rosanna often can advise them over the telephone.

After her years of work in public practice as a school psychologist, Rosanna now works full-time for The Learning Clinic. Rosanna has always been closely involved in providing service to clients and interpreting performance to parents. She finally traveled to San Francisco in November 1999 to earn her own certification as a Fast ForWord provider. At this point, she handles Fast ForWord clients almost exclusively, while Mark provides evaluation services.
